Case Study: Camp Chef

Creative Director | 2007

Problems Identified:

  1. Lack of consistency in branding, packaging, and product photography

  2. In launching a high-end cookware line, there was no clear branding and packaging strategy.

Problem 1

Lack of consistency in packaging’s color, logo treatment, and product photography was hurting the brand (and sales) in brick and mortar and e-commerce channels.

Solution

Upon my arrival at Camp Chef, I was tasked with simplifying and creating consistency amongst all of the packaging and POP.

This included improving the photography studio and processes, typography, color palettes, layout consistency, and copy voice.

Problem 2

In launching a high-end cookware line, there was no clear branding (or packaging) strategy.

Solution

Created color, type, photography, layout, copy and pre-press standards for Camp Chef’s new high-end, enamel covered cooking line.
